Grippostad 400mg+10mg is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain or fever and nasal congestion related to colds and flu in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

Active substance : 400mg of ibuprofen and 10mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride

Dosage and method of administration:

For treatment of acute episodes only. One pill every 8 hours. Leave at least 4 hours between doses and do not exceed three tablets in a 24 hour period. Adults, seniors and teenagers over 12 years old. Undesirable effects can be minimized by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest period of time necessary to control symptoms. The patient should consult a physician if symptoms persist or worsen, or if medication is needed for more than 5 days. Adolescents over 12 years: Consult a physician if this medication is needed for more than 3 days, or if symptoms worsen. Do not administer to children under 12 years of age. For oral administration.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Hypertension and severe coronary heart disease. Patients who have previously experienced hypersensitivity reactions (eg asthma, rhinitis, angioedema or urticaria) in response to acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Active peptic ulcer or history of recurrent peptic ulcer/bleeding (two or more distinct episodes of ulceration or proven bleeding). History of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation related to previous NSAID therapy. Severe heart failure (NY Heart Association class IV), renal failure, or liver failure. Last trimester of pregnancy. Concomitant use with NSAIDs, including specific cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitors. Hyperthyroidism. Contraindicated in patients taking or for two weeks after stopping treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors.
