Tavegyl 1mg 10 Tablets

Tavégyl is an over-the-counter antiallergic and antipruritic medicine that is indicated for the relief of nasal (rhinorrhea and nasal congestion) and/or skin (itching; insect bites) allergic symptoms.

Active ingredient: Each tablet contains 1.34mg of clemastine fumarate equivalent to 1mg of clemastine.

Dosage and method of administration:

Administer orally. The tablets should be taken with water, before meals. Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet morning and evening. Children from 6 to 12 years: 1/2 tablet morning and evening. Treatment should not exceed one week without medical supervision. Elderly: A lower dose should be considered in elderly patients (aged 60 years and older), who may be particularly susceptible to sedation, vertigo and hypotension. Patients with renal impairment: As with other antihistamines, a lower dose should be considered in patients with impaired renal function. Patients with hepatic impairment: A lower dose should be considered in patients with impaired hepatic function.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Pregnancy and lactation. It should not be given to patients with porphyria or to children under the age of six years.
