Vivilin 0.5mg/ml Eye Drops Single-Doses 30x0.6ml

Vivilin 0.5mg/ml Eye Drops is a non-prescription medication is indicated for the treatment and prevention of symptoms of seasonal and non-seasonal (perennial) allergic conjunctivitis.

Active substance: 1 ml of solution contains 0.5 mg of azelastine hydrochloride. 1 drop contains 0.018 mg of azelastine hydrochloride. The volume of one drop is 35.5 µl.

Dosage and method of administration:

Seasonal allergic conjunctivitis: The usual dose for adults and children aged 4 years and older is 1 drop in each eye twice a day, which may be increased to four times a day if necessary. If exposure to an allergen is anticipated, Vivilin should be administered prophylactically before exposure. Non-seasonal (perennial) allergic conjunctivitis: The usual dose for adults and children aged 12 years and older is 1 drop in each eye twice a day, which may be increased to four times a day if necessary. Since safety and efficacy have been demonstrated in clinical trials for up to 6 weeks, the duration of each treatment should be limited to a maximum of 6 weeks in both seasonal and non-seasonal allergic conjunctivitis. Patients should be advised to contact their doctor if symptoms worsen or do not improve after 48 hours. The patient should be informed that treatment of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis for more than 6 weeks should only be done under medical supervision. Vivilin can be used in elderly patients with the same dosage as in adult patients.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
