Advantix Dogs consists of an ectoparasiticide medication with a broad spectrum of action (fleas, ticks, lice, flies and mosquitoes/sandflies).
Active substances: Imidacloprid and Permethrin.
Indications:
The combination of the two active substances gives it superior efficacy. It substantially reduces the risk of transmitting diseases to dogs (e.g. borreliosis, leishmaniasis, etc.). Fleas on the dog are killed within 1 day of treatment, which prevents future flea infestations for 4 weeks. It can be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis (FAD). Treatment of infestations by biting lice. It has persistent acaricidal and repellent efficacy against tick infestations. One treatment provides repellent activity (prevents biting and subsequent feeding) against sand flies for 2 weeks, against mosquitoes and stable flies for 4 weeks.
Recommendations: Should be used throughout the parasite risk period. Effective after bathing and contact with water. Can be applied to pregnant and lactating women and puppies from 7 weeks of age. Do not apply to cats.
Directions for use:
The dog should be kept standing for easier application. The entire contents of the veterinary medicine pipette should be applied evenly to four points on the midline of the back, starting from the shoulder blades and moving towards the base of the tail. At each point, part the animal's fur until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze gently to release a portion of the contents directly onto the skin.
