Ataxxa is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis).

The fleas present on the dog are killed within 1 day after the treatment. One treatment prevents future flea infestations for 4 weeks. The veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis.

Active substances: Permethrin 200.0 mg and Imidacloprid 40.0 mg.

After topical administration in dogs, the solution rapidly spreads over the surface of the animal's body. Both active substances remain detectable on the skin and fur of the treated animal for 4 weeks. Systemic absorption of the veterinary medicinal product is low enough to affect efficacy or tolerance in the target species.

Posology and route of administration:

Exclusively for punctiform use. Apply only on uninjured skin.

The minimum recommended doses are: 10 mg of imidacloprid per kg of body weight and 50 mg of permethrin per kg of body weight.

  • Dogs up to 4kg - 1 pipette of Ataxxa 200 mg/40 mg
  • Dogs 4-10kg - 1 pipette of Ataxxa 500 mg/100 mg
  • Dogs 10-25kg - 1 pipette of Ataxxa 1250 mg/250 mg
  • Dogs 25-40kg - 1 pipette of Ataxxa 2000 mg/400 mg
  • Dogs +40kg - the appropriate combination of pipettes must be applied.

To reduce reinfestations resulting from the appearance of new fleas, it is recommended to treat all dogs living in the house. Other animals living in the same household must be treated with an appropriate veterinary medicinal product. Also, to facilitate environmental disinfestation, the additional use of an appropriate environmental treatment against fleas and their development stages is recommended.

Depending on the number of fleas, it may be necessary to repeat the treatment. The interval between the two treatments should be 4 weeks. However, in cases of frequent and/or prolonged exposure to water, persistent effectiveness may be reduced. In these cases, do not administer more frequently than once a week.
