Spectorum Expectorant 6mg/ml Syrup 200ml

Spectorum Expectorant 6mg/ml Syrup is a mucolytic adjunct to the antibacterial treatment of respiratory infections in the presence of bronchial hypersecretion.

Active substances: 6mg/ml ambroxol

Dosage and method of administration:

5 ml of syrup = 1 full teaspoon. Treatment should not be exceeded for more than 5-7 days without consulting the treating physician. Adults and children over 12 years: 10 ml (2 teaspoons), 2 times a day. This regimen is suitable for the therapy of acute respiratory tract disorders and for the initial treatment of chronic conditions for up to 14 days. For the treatment of children under 12 years, depending on the severity of the disease, the following dosage regimen is recommended: Children from 6 to 12 years: 5 ml (1 teaspoon), 2-3 times a day (corresponding to 1.2 mg/kg of body weight). Children from 2 to 5 years: 2.5 ml (½ teaspoon) 3 times a day (corresponding to 1.25 mg/kg of body weight). Children from 1 to 2 years: 2.5 ml (½ teaspoon) 2 times a day (corresponding to 1.6 mg/kg of body weight). These doses correspond to the initial treatment; doses can be halved after 14 days. Spectorum Expectorant Syrup should be taken with meals. 

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients. In the case of rare hereditary diseases where there is incompatibility with an excipient of the drug, the use of the drug is contraindicated. In the case of alcoholism, you should be careful when taking this medicine.
