Benflux Dry Cough 2mg/ml Syrup 200ml

Benflux Dry Cough 2mg/ml Syrup it is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of irritative, non-productive cough.

Active substance: dextromethorphan hydrobromide

Dextromethorphan is a synthetic morphine derivative with central antitussive action.

Posology and method of administration:

Adults and children from 12 years of age: 5 to 10 ml of Benflux Dry Cough (corresponding to 10-20 mg of dextromethorphan hydrobromide) depending on the intensity of the symptoms, every 4 hours, not exceeding 6 doses in 24 hours, or 15 ml of Benflux Dry Cough (corresponding to 30 mg of dextromethorphan hydrobromide) at 6-8 hour intervals. The maximum daily dose is 60 ml of Benflux Dry Cough corresponding to 120 mg of dextromethorphan hydrobromide.

Children from 6 to 12 years: The usual dosage is 30 to 60 mg/20 to 35 kg body weight/day. 2.5-5 ml of Benflux Dry Cough (corresponding to 5-10 mg of dextromethorphan hydrobromide) depending on the intensity of symptoms, every 4 hours, not exceeding 6 doses in 24 hours, or 7.5 ml of Benflux Dry Cough (corresponding to 15 mg of dextromethorphan hydrobromide) at intervals of 6-8 hours. The maximum daily dose of dextromethorphan hydrobromide is 60 mg (equivalent to 30 ml of Benflux Dry Cough).

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
