Skinoren 200mg/g Cream 50g

Skinoren 200mg/g Cream is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate acne.

Active substances: 200mg/g of azelaic acid.

Dosage and method of administration:

Skinoren should be applied twice a day (morning and evening) on the affected skin regions, rubbing lightly. Approximately 2.5 cm of cream is enough for the entire facial area. Before applying Skinoren, the skin should be carefully cleaned with running water and dried. A mild skin cleanser may be used. It is important to continue to use Skinoren regularly throughout the treatment period. The duration of use of Skinoren may vary from patient to patient and also depends on the severity of the skin disorder. A distinct improvement usually becomes apparent after about 4 weeks. For best results, Skinoren should be used continuously for several months. There is clinical experience for a period of time of continuous application of up to one year. In case of intolerable skin irritation, the amount of cream per application should be reduced or the frequency of use of Skinoren should be reduced to once a day until irritation subsides. If necessary, treatment may have to be temporarily stopped for a few days. Use in adolescents (12-18 years of age). No dose adjustment is required when Skinoren is administered to adolescents aged 12-18 years. The safety and effectiveness of Skinoren in children under 12 years of age have not been established.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients.
