Tralieve it is indicated to decrease acute and chronic mild musculoskeletal and soft tissue pain.

Active substance (s): tramadol hydrochloride

Target species (s): Canines (Dogs).

Tramadol is a centrally acting analgesic with a complex mode of action that is exerted by its two enantiomers and the main metabolite, involving the opioid, norepinephrine and serotonin receptors.

Posology and route of administration:

For oral administration. The recommended dose is 2-4 mg of tramadol hydrochloride per kg of body weight every 8 hours or as needed depending on the intensity of the pain. The minimum interval between doses is 6 hours. The maximum recommended daily dose is 16 mg / kg. As the individual response to tramadol is variable and depends in part on the dose, the patient's age, individual differences in pain sensitivity and general condition, the optimal dosing schedule should be adapted individually using the dose and repeat treatment intervals above mentioned.

The tablets can be divided into two or four equal parts to ensure the exact dosage. Place the tablet on a flat surface with the grooved side facing up and the convex (rounded) side on the surface. 2 equal parts: press both sides of the tablet with your thumbs. 4 equal parts: press the middle of the tablet with your thumb.
