Strongid Dogs Oral Paste 16g

Strongid Dogs Oral Paste is indicated for the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal helminthiasis that infect dogs, particularly those caused by: Ancylostoma caninum , Ancylostoma brazíliense , Toxocara canis , Toxascaris leonina and Uncinaria stenocephala . The veterinary medicine can be administered to dogs of all ages, pregnant dogs and lactating dogs. Puppies tolerate the preparation well even in the first week of life.

Target species: Canines (dogs).

Active Substance: Pyrantel.

Dosage and route of administration:

It is recommended that the dose be administered all at once, slowly and directly onto the tongue. In very small animals (infants) it is recommended to administer the paste using the above procedure, but placing small amounts on the tongue at a time. The animal does not need to be fasting. The calculated amount of paste can be mixed with food. Recommended treatment schedule (which may be modified by the veterinarian whenever deemed appropriate): Treat bitches before or after copulation and every 3 weeks during pregnancy. This will not eliminate the migrating larvae, but it will free the bitches from the adult egg-producing parasites. Treat puppies and mothers two weeks after giving birth. This treatment destroys the adult parasites before they can become egg producers. Weekly treatment of mothers and puppies should be continued until they are 6 weeks old; the larvae will reach adulthood continuously during this period. Treat puppies again at 8, 10 and 12 weeks and before they are moved to a new location. Treat all other dogs at three months of age, twice, with a 1-week interval. Then, continue treatment every 2 or 3 months or as directed by your veterinarian.
