Triderm is a drug used in the treatment of acute dermatitis in case of mixed infection caused by marbofloxacin-sensitive Pseudomonas aeruginosa or marbofloxacin-sensitive Staphylococcus pseudintermedius and ketoconazole-sensitive Malassezia pachydermatis.

Active substances : each ml contains: marbofloxacin 1.025 mg; ketoconazole 2.041 mg; prednisolone 0.926 mg.

Marbofloxacin is a synthetic antimicrobial with bactericidal activity, belonging to the group of fluoroquinolones, It is effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus pseudintermedius

Ketoconazole is an imidazole-derived antifungal agent that acts against Malassezia pachydermatis

Prednisolone is a synthetic corticosteroid. It has local and systemic anti-inflammatory properties.

Target species: dogs.

Dosage and route of administration:

Cutaneous use. Shake well before using.

The recommended dose is 2.26 to 9.18 µg of marbofloxacin, 4.52 to 18.36 µg of ketoconazole and 2.08 to 8.45 µg of prednisolone per cm2 of affected skin per day. This dose can be achieved with two activations of the spray pump (equivalent to approximately 0.2 ml/treatment) on a surface to be treated, equivalent to a 5 cm x 5 cm square, when spraying from a distance of approximately 10 cm, and equivalent to a 10 cm x 10 cm square, when spraying from a distance of approximately 30 cm. Repeat treatment twice daily for 7 to 14 days, depending on clinical and microbiological progress. Prior to administration of the veterinary medicinal product, the area to be treated should be cleaned and hair removed.

The treatment period depends on the clinical convalescence of skin inflammations of bacterial and fungal origin. If the treated dog does not recover until the 7th day, the treatment must be continued until the 14th day. In cases where the dog has not recovered after 14 days, replacement with another appropriate veterinary medicinal product is recommended.
