Synulox has a broad spectrum of activity, acting against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. This characteristic, associated with the excellent distribution and persistence of the amoxicillin / clavulanic acid association in the animal organism, allow the use of the drug in various infectious processes of dogs and cats, such as:

Skin infections (caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Escherichia coli, Proteus spp).

Respiratory infections (caused by Staphylococcus spp, Pasteurella spp, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Haemophilus spp, Streptococcus spp).

Gastrointestinal tract infections (such as diarrhea caused by Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp, Proteus spp, Salmonella spp).

Genitourinary infections and other soft tissues such as pyoderma, dermatitis, abscesses, infected wounds (determined by Streptococcus spp, Corynebacterium spp, Bacillus spp, Fusobacterium necrophorum, Moraxella spp or other bacteria mentioned above).

Periodontal infections caused by strains of susceptible aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. Synulox® has been shown to be clinically effective for the treatment of periodontal disease in dogs.

Active substances: Amoxicillin in trihydrate form (ph. Eur) 400 mg and Clavulanic acid in the form of Potassium Clavulanate 100 mg.

Target species: Canines (dogs).

Dosage and route of administration:

Provide the pills directly into the animal's mouth. The tablets can be broken in half (if necessary), to adjust the dose of the product to the animal's body weight. The recommended dose for dogs and cats is 10.0 mg of amoxicillin and 2.5 mg of clavulanic acid for every kg of weight, twice a day, which is equivalent to one tablet with 50 mg of active ingredient for every 4 kg of weight or still, a tablet with 250 mg of active ingredient for every 20 kg of weight, every 12 hours. Treatment should last 5 to 7 days or at the discretion of the veterinarian. The treatment of pyoderma may require a longer treatment (up to 21 days), but care must be taken not to exceed 30 days of treatment.
