Description

Lidofon 1mg+5mg is indicated for the symptomatic and local treatment of the pharynx. Indicated as a disinfectant and local analgesic for sore throat and pharyngeal and mouth disorders accompanied by irritation, such as pharyngitis, gingivitis, stomatitis and canker sores. The presence of lidocaine results in rapid relief of symptoms.

Active substances: 1mg of lidocaine, hydrochloride and 5mg of chlorhexidine, dihydrochloride.

Lidocaine hydrochloride is an amide-type peripheral local anesthetic that has a superficial analgesic effect without interfering with motor functions in the area of application. Chlorhexidine is a cationic compound with antiseptic activity. It has a powerful bactericidal effect against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and an antimycotic effect on dermatophytes and yeasts.

Dosage and method of administration:

Adults: 6 to 10 tablets a day, slowly dissolve in the mouth. Children over 6 years: half the dose. This medicine is indicated for symptomatic treatment and should not be used for long periods of time. If there is no improvement after 3 or 4 days of treatment, it is advisable to consult a doctor.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients and in particular to local anesthetics such as lidocaine. Children under the age of 6 years.

If in doubt or if symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
