Nicorette Invisipatch is indicated in the treatment of tobacco dependence providing relief from nicotine withdrawal symptoms, facilitating the cessation of smoking in smokers motivated to quit smoking.

Active substances: 25mg/16h of nicotine.

Nicotine, the main alkaloid in tobacco products and a naturally occurring autonomous substance, is a nicotine receptor agonist in the central and peripheral nervous system. Nicotine has been shown to be addictive in tobacco consumption.

Dosage and method of administration:

The patient should make every effort to completely stop smoking during treatment with Nicorette Invisipatch. Counseling and support usually increases the success rate. Adults and Seniors. The patch should be applied to an intact area of skin in the morning when you wake up and removed at night when you go to bed. For smokers with a high degree of dependence, it is recommended to start treatment with Step 1 using a patch of 25 mg/16 hours daily for 8 weeks. A gradual dose reduction should then begin: a 15 mg/16 hour patch should be used daily for 2 weeks and then a 10 mg/16 hour patch daily for 2 weeks. For smokers with a low degree of dependence, it is recommended to start treatment with Stage 2 (15 mg) for 8 weeks, reducing to Stage 3 (10 mg) in the last 4 weeks of treatment. Nicorette Invisipatch should be applied to clean, intact, dry and non-hairy areas of skin, for example on the hip, upper arm or chest. These zones must be alternated from day to day and the same application site must not be used on consecutive days. Before applying the patch, wash your hands. Cut the sachet with scissors along the dotted line indicated. Select an area of clean, dry, non-hairy, intact skin, for example the hip, upper arm or chest. Remove a part of the silver foil and pull it back as far as possible. Take care, as much as possible, not to touch the sticky surface of the adhesive with your fingers. Apply the patch carefully to the skin and remove the remaining half of the silver foil. Firmly press the patch against the skin with the palm of your hand or fingertips. Firmly rub the edge of the sticker in circles with your fingers to ensure it sticks well. If the sticker comes off, replace it with a new one. Using oils or talc on the skin can prevent the adhesive from sticking properly. After removal, used adhesives must be handled carefully.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients. Children and adolescents under the age of 18 years. Non-smoking individuals.
