Epitact Nocturnal Bunion Correction helps to correct the deformation and limit the evolution of the “bunion”. Contributes to relieving joint and joint pain at night.

Characteristics:

  • The splint becomes flexible when immersed in hot water. Once in place, apply the separator (included). The orthosis then forms the shape of your foot and gently realigns your big toe. The orthosis hardens and becomes rigid in minutes: you can enjoy a custom-made orthosis.
  • Very comfortable, you'll even forget you're wearing it while you sleep.
  • Thermo-moldable several times, the orthosis is adaptable. When properly cared for, it can be used daily for several months.
  • To obtain an optimal effect in pain relief and realignment, we advise you to use the Epitact day orthosis as a complement, letting the skin breathe for a few hours a day.

Usage advice:

First, with your hand, check if the big toe still moves side to side. If this is not the case, do not use this product. The orthosis can be thermomolded on both the right and left foot. Follow the instructions provided in the thermoforming information leaflet. The nighttime corrective orthosis can be thermomolded several times. Pass your forefoot through the large strap. Then stick your big toe into the small sock. Make sure that the white guide is located at the level of the “bunion” (see figure in the thermoforming information leaflet provided). It is recommended that, during the first 3 uses, you only use the orthosis for 2 hours. For subsequent uses, use the orthosis throughout the night. Joint pain may occur during the first few uses. If pain persists for more than 7 nights, consult your podiatrist. After 1 month of using the orthosis and if there is no pain, a second thermomolding can be placed to increase the correction (see thermomolding information leaflet provided). The desired correction will then be achieved without the separator, but by pulling the big toe laterally. The orthosis should not be used if you can no longer move your big toe laterally. Do not apply to unprotected wounds. Do not use in case of diabetes, arteritis, neuropathy of the lower limbs or ulcerations.
