Nasorhinathiol 0.5mg/ml Nebulizer is a drug indicated for the symptomatic treatment of flu-like conditions and colds and for the relief of nasal congestion and rhinorrhea.

Active substances: Oxymetazoline hydrochloride ……… .. 0.5 mg / ml. Excipients with known effect: Benzalkonium chloride (50% )…. 0.4 mg / ml.

Oxymetazoline directly stimulates a-adrenergic receptors in the sympathetic nervous system and has little or no effect on b-adrenergic receptors. Intranasal application of oxymetazoline results in constriction of dilated arterioles, reduced nasal blood flow and congestion. In addition, obstructed osteo-eustaquian channels can be opened. Ventilation and aeration temporarily improve, however some compensatory vasodilation and congestion occurs. Oxymetazoline does not affect the release of allergen-stimulated histamine.

Posology and method of administration:

Dosage in adults: Nasal use. Nebulizer preparation: 1 or 2 nebulizations in each nostril every 12 hours. One application in the morning and the other in the evening is recommended. Never exceed two applications in 24 hours. The duration of treatment should not exceed three days. Pediatric population: The use of this medicine is not intended for children under the age of 6 years. Children over 6 years of age: dose identical to that of adults.
