Description

Xymeral 1.0mg/ml Nasal Spray Solution is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of nasal congestion. Xymeral 1 mg/ml nasal spray solution can be used in adults and children from 10 years of age.

Active substance : 1.0mg/ml xylometazoline hydrochloride.

Dosage and method of administration:

The dose in adults and children from 10 years of age is 1 - 2 sprays in each nostril but not more than once every 10-12 hours. If necessary, the drug can be used up to 3 times a day. Xymeral 1 mg/ml nasal spray solution is indicated for children 10 years of age and older to be administered as indicated below. Xymeral 1 mg/ml nasal spray solution should not be used in children under 10 years of age. Other pharmaceutical dosages may be more suitable for administration to this population. The maximum duration of treatment is 7 days, if after 3 days of treatment the patient does not feel better or if he feels worse, the clinical situation must be evaluated. Long and excessive use can cause bounce congestion. The recommended dose must not be exceeded. Before the first application, it is necessary to spray a few times (4 times) into the air, to obtain a uniform dose. The bottle must be in an upright position. If the product is not used for several days, at least spray it into the air to obtain a uniform dose. The medicine should be used after blowing your nose. Xymeral Nasal Spray is for intranasal use only. The nasal spray solution should be applied in a sitting position. Also, young children should be sitting on someone else's lap. To minimize the risk of spreading infections, the drug should not be used by more than one person, and the pump should be flushed after use.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. It should not be used after a transsphenoidal hypophysectomy or transnasal or transoral surgeries with exposure of the dura mater. 'Dry' inflammation of the nasal mucosa (dry rhinitis).
