Description

Snup 1mg/ml Nasal Spray Solution is indicated for the relief of nasal congestion due to colds and colds (vasomotor rhinitis), allergic rhinitis and to facilitate the drainage of secretions in inflammation of the paranasal sinuses as well as in otitis media associated with colds.

Active substances: 1mg/ml of xylometazoline hydrochloride.

Dosage and method of administration:

Snup is intended for nasal use. Adults, adolescents and children > 6 years of age. When needed, a spray of nasal spray is given into each nostril up to three times a day. Before the first application, spray at least five sprays into the air until a consistent spray mist is obtained. In all other applications, the nasal spray is ready to use with the first spray. The procedure must be repeated if the spray has not been used for a few days. The following requirements apply: 4 to 14 days of non-use: 1 spray into the air; more than 14 days without use: 5 sprays into the air. Wipe the outside of the applicator with a clean, soft tissue before covering it immediately after use. For hygienic reasons and to avoid infections, the nasal spray solution must be used by one person only. A single recommended dose of Snup should not be taken more than three times a day. Dosage will depend on individual sensitivity and clinical response. Snup should not be used for more than 7 days, except on medical advice. An interval of several days should elapse before re-administering the medicine. If after 7 days of treatment the patient does not feel better or worse, the clinical situation should be reassessed. Prolonged and excessive use can cause hyperemia or reactive hyperactivity. The recommended dose must not be exceeded. The duration of therapy in children should be established on medical advice. Patients with chronic colds can only use these drugs under medical supervision due to the risk of atrophy of the nasal mucosa.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients. "Dry" inflammation of the nasal mucosa (Rhinitis sicca). Condition after transphenoidal hypophysectomy or other surgical interventions in which the dura is exposed. Babies and children up to 6 years old.

If in doubt or if symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
