Rinerge 0.5mg/ml Solution for Inhalation by Nebulization 10ml
Non-prescription drug indicated for the relief of nasal congestion associated with colds, rhinitis, sinusitis, hay fever and other allergies of the upper respiratory tract.
Rinerge 0.5mg/ml Solution for Inhalation by Nebulization is indicated for the rapid and prolonged relief of nasal mucosa and paranasal sinus congestion Rinerge is also indicated to reduce edema, facilitating the visualization of the nasal and pharyngeal membranes before surgical procedures and for diagnostic purposes, as well as for opening the obstructed Eustachian tube in patients with ear inflammation.
Active substances: 0.5mg/ml of oxymetazoline hydrochloride.
Nasal administration of oxymetazoline results in constriction of the dilated arteries as well as reduced nasal flow and congestion. There is also the opening of the Eustachian tube when it is obstructed by inflammation of the ear.
Dosage and method of administration:
The usual dosage recommended for adults and children over 6 years of age consists of 2 or 3 nebulizations, in each nostril, twice a day (morning and evening), unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor. In some cases of sinusitis, nebulization may be repeated after 10 to 15 minutes. Rinerge should not be used in self-medication for periods longer than 3 days. If symptoms persist, treatment with Rinerge should be stopped and a doctor consulted. Place the nebulizer orifice inside the nostril without completely blocking it. Press the nebulizer the number of times corresponding to the recommended number of nebulizations and inhale quickly. After use, clean the orifice of the nebulizer bottle. To minimize the risk of spreading infections, nebulisers should not be used by more than one person.
Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients. Known sensitivity to the pharmacological effects of adrenergic substances. Children under the age of 6 years.
