Remisil 5mg/g Gel 100g

Remisil 5mg/g Gel is indicated for the local treatment of acute inflammatory conditions, namely acute periarticular rheumatism (sprain, trauma, muscle strain); Acute phases of arthrosis (cervicarthroses, lumbarthroses, gonarthroses).

Active substances: 5mg/ml piroxicam.

Piroxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent used for the treatment of inflammatory processes.

Dosage and method of administration:

Remisil is for external use only. Not to be used with an occlusive dressing. It is recommended to apply 1 gram (5 mg of piroxicam) of Remisil (about 3 cm of gel at the exit of the tube) on the affected area, 3 to 4 times a day. After application, massage gently until no residual material remains on the skin.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients. Allergy to acetylsalicylic acid or in cases where the administration of acetylsalicylic acid or other anti-inflammatory drugs has already induced symptoms of asthma, nasal polyps, angioedema or urticaria.

In accordance with current legislation, non-prescription medicines in Portugal can only be delivered to the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
