Paracetamol Alter 500mg is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of clinical situations that require an analgesic and/or an antipyretic, such as: symptoms associated with flu-like conditions; fever (lasting less than 3 days); hyperergic reactions from vaccination; mild and moderate headaches; migraines with previous medical diagnosis, of mild to moderate intensity; mild to moderate toothache; mild to moderate otalgia; mild to moderate intensity dysmenorrhea; traumatic, muscle and joint pain, of mild to moderate intensity.

Active substances: 500mg paracetamol.

Paracetamol exerts analgesic and antipyretic action.

Dosage and method of administration:

The recommended dose of Paracetamol Alter depends on age and body weight. Paracetamol Alter 500 mg tablets are intended for oral administration in adults (including the elderly) and children aged 12 years and over. Administration can be repeated at 6 to 8 hour intervals. If necessary, the interval can be at least 4 hours, not exceeding 6 tablets daily. The maximum daily dose of paracetamol should not exceed 3 g/day. Acetaminophen (acetaminophen) is a frequent component of several combination medicines. This fact must be taken into account in order not to exceed the maximum daily dose. Paracetamol Alter 500 mg tablets should not be used in children under 12 years of age and weighing less than 40 kg. For these patients, other forms of presentation are available that contain more adequate amounts of paracetamol.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients. Paracetamol is contraindicated in case of severe liver disease.
