Olfen Arctic 10mg/g gel 120g
Non-prescription drug indicated for the relief of mild to moderate muscle pain and inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints.
Olfen Artic 10 mg/g gel is for the local and symptomatic treatment of pain in acute sprains, strains or bruises after blunt force trauma, in the soft tissues near the joint, in osteoarthritis of the knee and finger joints, in epicondylitis, in acute muscle pain, such as in the dorsal region.
Active substance: One gram of gel contains 11.6 mg of diclofenac diethylamine, corresponding to 10 mg of diclofenac sodium.
Dosage and method of administration:
Cutaneous use. Adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over: Depending on the size of the affected area to be treated, an amount of gel should be applied 3 or 4 times a day, whose dimensions should vary between a cherry and a walnut, corresponding to 1 -4 g of gel (11.6 – 46.4 mg of diclofenac diethylamine, corresponding to 10-40 mg of diclofenac sodium). Such an amount of gel is sufficient to treat an area of 400-800 cm 2 . The maximum daily dose is 16 g of gel corresponding to 185.6 mg of diclofenac diethylamine.
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Patients with a history of hypersensitivity reactions such as asthma, bronchospasm, urticaria, acute rhinitis or angioedema in response to acetylsalicylic acid or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). In open lesions, inflammations or infections of the skin as well as in eczema or mucous membranes. In the last trimester of pregnancy. In children and adolescents under 14 years of age.
