Elmetacin 10mg/g Solution for Skin Spray 100ml

Elmetacin is a non-prescription drug indicated for all painful and inflammatory conditions of the locomotor system, namely Traumatic and sports injuries: strains, bruises and sprains, mild to moderate muscle pain, soft tissue rheumatic disorders: tendinitis, tenosynovitis, periarthritis shoulder, degenerative rheumatic disorders: arthrosis (including those of the spine).

Active substances: Indomethacin.

Elmetacin has anti-inflammatory and analgesic action by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. The application of Elmetacin induces a rapid improvement of inflammatory signs such as pain and swelling and a significant increase in joint mobility. This action is beneficial in chronic inflammatory conditions.

Dosage and method of administration:

It is applied 3 to 5 times a day, apply 5 to 15 sprays according to the extension of the area to be treated, unless better prescribed by a doctor. Maximum daily dose: 20g (corresponding to 200 mg of indomethacin).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to indomethacin or to any of the excipients or to other NSAIDs (cross-sensitivity). In the last trimester of pregnancy.

In accordance with current legislation, non-prescription medicines in Portugal can only be delivered to the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
