Advocate Cat is an antiparasitic indicated for treatment and prevention of mixed infestations per internal and external parasites in cats and ferrets.

For cats weighing less than 4 kg.

Indications:

For Cats suffering from, or at risk for, mixed parasitic infections:

• For the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis),

• the treatment of ear mite infestations (Otodectes cynotis),

• the treatment of notohedral scabies (Notoedres cati),

• the prevention of cardiopulmonary heartworm disease (L3 and L4 larvae of Dirofilaria immitis),

• the treatment of infections by gastrointestinal nematodes (L4 larvae, immature adults and adults of Toxocara cati and Ancylostoma tubaeforme). The veterinary medicinal product can be administered as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergic dermatitis (PAD).

For Ferrets suffering from, or at risk for, mixed parasitic infections:

• For the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis),

• the prevention of cardiopulmonary heartworm disease (L3 and L4 larvae of Dirofilaria immitis).

Contraindications:

Do not administer to kittens under 9 weeks of age. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients. Ferrets: Do not administer Advocate for large cats (0.8 ml) or Advocate for dogs (any presentation).

Posology and route of administration:

The recommended minimum doses are 10 mg of imidacloprid per kg of live weight and 1.0 mg of moxidectin per kg of live weight, equivalent to 0.1 ml of Advocate for cats per kg of live weight. The treatment schedule should be based on the individual veterinary diagnosis and the local epidemiological situation. For external use only. Remove a pipette from its packaging. Then, hold the pipette upright, twist and remove the cap. Replace the cap in reverse and turn the cap to remove the pipette seal. Remove the hair from the neck at the base of the animal's neck until the skin is visible. Place the pipette tip on the skin and squeeze the pipette firmly several times, in order to empty the contents directly onto the skin. The application at the base of the neck will minimize the possibility of the animal licking the veterinary medicine. Apply only on uninjured skin.
