Apilife Var is a strip for hives indicated for the treatment of varroosis caused by Varroa destructor.

Active substances: Thymol 8.00g, Eucalyptus oil 1.72g, Racemic camphor 0.39g, Levomentol 0.39g.

The veterinary medicine is composed of a mixture of essential oils (thymol, camphor, menthol and eucalyptus oil), the main component of which is thymol. This mixture of essential oils sublimates within the air volume of the treated hive as a function of temperature. This mixture of vapors is released into the hive.

Posology and route of administration:

1 strip every 7 days for each hive, complete treatment 4 strips for each hive. Treatment should be carried out once a year.

Carry out the treatment by removing a strip from the bag and placing it in one of the four corners on the nest, away from the creation placed in the center of the hive. Close the hive and let it act for 7 days. The strip can also be used by cutting it into 3-4 pieces and placing them in the corners of the hive. Repeat the treatment 4 consecutive times. At the end of the treatment, remove any residues present.

It is not advisable to use the veterinary medicine in a multi-box hive, where insufficient efficacy is likely.
