Active Substance: amolodipine 1.25mg
Amlodipine is a voltage-dependent calcium channel blocker, belonging to the dihydropyridine group, which selectively binds to the type L channels in vascular smooth muscle, cardiac muscle and cardiac nodal tissue.
Posology and route of administration:
Oral administration.
Amlodipine tablets should be administered orally at a recommended starting dose of 0.125 - 0.25 mg / kg / day. After 14 days of treatment, the dose can be doubled or increased up to 0.5 mg / kg, once a day, if the appropriate clinical response has not been obtained (for example, if the systolic blood pressure remains above 150 mmHg or if there is a reduction of less than 15 % compared to the pre-treatment measurement).
