Terramycin 55mg/g Soluble Powder is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections in various animal species. Pre-ruminant calves and lambs: Respiratory infections associated with infections caused by Pasteurella multocida and Mannhaemia haemolytica sensitive to oxytetracycline. Pigs: Respiratory infections associated with infections caused by Mycoplasma spp. and Bordetella bronchiseptica sensitive to oxytetracycline. Chickens for fattening and turkeys: respiratory infections caused mainly by Mycoplasma spp. and Pasteurella multocida sensitive to oxytetracycline.

Active substances: Oxytetracycline hydrochloride 55mg/g.

Target species(s): Poultry (fattening chickens and turkeys), Cattle (pre-ruminant calves), Sheep (pre-ruminant lambs) and Pigs.

Dosage and route of administration:

Oral administration The veterinary medicinal product can be administered in drinking water, with a liquid diet or with a dosing gun. Calves (pre-ruminants): 20 - 25 mg of oxytetracycline hydrochloride /kg pv/dia for 5 consecutive days Lambs (pre-ruminants): 10 - 18 mg of oxytetracycline hydrochloride /kg pv/dia for 5 consecutive days Pigs: 40 mg of oxytetracillin hydrochloride/kg pv/dia for 5 consecutive days Chickens for fattening and turkeys: 50 mg of oxytetracillin hydrochloride/kg pv/dia for 5 consecutive days. The consumption of medicated water depends on the physiological and clinical conditions of the animals and the time of year. To ensure correct dosage, the concentration of the medicine in the water will be adjusted taking into account daily consumption. If there is no improvement within three days of starting therapy, a change in the chosen therapy may be indicated. Medicated water should be the only source of drinking water during the treatment period.
