Taberdog Shampoo Dog Antiparasitic is indicated for the elimination and prevention of ectoparasitoses in dogs produced by lice, fleas, ticks and mites: Ctenocephalides canis, Ctenocephalides felis, Pulex irritans, Dermacentor variabilis, Otobius megnini, Rhipicephalus sanguineus.

Active substances: 0.04 tetramethrin % 0.04 g; Piperonyl butoxide 0.4 % 0.40 g.

Target species (s): Canids.

Tetramethrin is a type I synthetic pyrethroid. Type I pyrethroids (which do not contain an alphacan group) result in an increased pronounced repetitive activity in the sensory organs and nerve fibers. They act directly by affecting the sodium channels of the nerve membrane and cause a prolongation of the transient increase in the membrane's sodium permeability during excitation which leads to excitation, convulsion, paralysis and death of the parasite. Type I pyrethroids also cause moderate presynaptic repetitive activity.

Piperonyl Butoxide is a synergizer of the action of tetramethrin. It has a scarce, almost zero insecticidal / antiparasitic power. When associated with Tetramethrin or other pyrethrins, their speed of action increases. The synergizing effect occurs when preventing the insect from degrading Tetramethrin, with which the contact of the insecticide with the ectoparasite is increased.

Posology and route (s) of administration:

For external use only. Via Topical. Washing or bathing. After moistening the whole body of the animal, spread a portion of shampoo on the hair and scrub vigorously. Rinse and repeat the operation. Before rinsing a second time, let it act for a few minutes. The application can be done twice a year or once a month, depending on the degree of parasitism. The minimum treatment time is fixed according to veterinary criteria.
