Aspegic 1000 Powder for Oral Solution is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of fever and/or mild to moderate pain in adults and adolescents aged 16 to 65 years.

Active substance : Lysine Acetylsalicylate 1800 mg (equivalent to 1000 mg of acetylsalicylic acid).

Dosage and method of administration:

Due to the possibility of occurrence of Reye's syndrome, it should not be given to children under 16 years of age, unless prescribed and under close medical supervision. Dosage: Adults and adolescents (between 16 – 65 years). The recommended dosage is 1 sachet 3 times a day, with a minimum interval of 4 to 6 hours between each dose. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 3 sachets. Maximum duration of treatment: 3 days (for fever cases), no more than 3 to 4 days (for pain cases). This medicine is not intended for use in adults over the age of 65 years. Other strengths and forms of acetylsalicylic acid are available. This medicine is not indicated for use in children and adolescents under the age of 16 years. Liver failure. Its administration is not recommended in patients with hepatic impairment. Administration to patients with renal impairment should be avoided. This medicine should only be administered under a doctor's prescription. Method of administration Pour the contents of the sachet into a glass of water, sweetened or not, fruit juice or milk. shake. Dissolution is rapid and complete. Do not drink alcoholic beverages during treatment.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Patients with pre-existing mastocytosis in whom the use of acetylsalicylic acid may lead to serious hypersensitivity reactions (including circulatory shock with flushing, hypotension, tachycardia and vomiting); - History of induced asthma induced by the administration of acetylsalicylates or substances with a similar action, particularly non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs); Third trimester of pregnancy (beyond 24 weeks of pregnancy); Active peptic ulcer; Any constitutional or acquired bleeding disorder; hemorrhagic risk; severe liver failure; Severe renal impairment CrCL 15 mg/week with anti-inflammatory doses of acetylsalicylic acid, or analgesic doses or antipyretic doses. Concomitant administration of oral anticoagulants with acetylsalicylic acid used at anti-inflammatory doses, or at analgesic or antipyretic doses and in patients with a history of gastroduodenal ulcers.
