Doxiproct Rectal Ointment 30g

Doxiproct Rectal Ointment is indicated for the treatment of hemorrhoids with a previous medical diagnosis.

Active substance: One gram of rectal ointment contains 40 mg of calcium dobesilate monohydrate and 20 mg of lidocaine hydrochloride.

The first is a vasotropic agent that has elective activity on the walls of capillaries, regulating their resistance and permeability. The second is well known for its qualities as a very well tolerated local anesthetic.

Dosage and method of administration:

2 applications a day for 1 or 2 weeks. Apply the ointment morning and evening, if possible after defecation. For deep application of the ointment (in internal hemorrhoids) use the cannula adapted to the end of the tube. In case of external hemorrhoids or anal itching, spread a thin layer of ointment several times a day. The duration of treatment is usually from a few days to 2 weeks.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients. Children under the age of 14 years. Pregnancy and lactation.
