Micolysin 10mg/g Cream is indicated for the treatment of interdigital mycoses (eg Tinea pedum, Tinea manuum), diaper dermatitis, treatment of pityriasis versicolor and vulvar and balanic candidiasis.

Active substances: clotrimazole.

Clotrimazole is an imidazole antifungal agent with activity and action similar to that of ketoconazole, also having "in-vitro" activity against Cladosporium , Phialophora Mucor spp and Pseudallescheria boydii .

Dosage and method of administration:

In interdigital mycoses and diaper dermatitis, the cream should be applied on the affected areas, in a thin layer, 2 to 3 times a day, with light friction. In affections of the genital areas, the cream should be applied 2 to 3 times a day on the affected areas (female: lips and adjacent areas of the vulva; male: glans and foreskin of the penis). It is important that the patient's sexual partner also carries out the treatment, to avoid re-infections. The duration of treatment is as follows: Interdigital mycoses: 3 to 4 weeks. Diaper dermatitis: 1 week (after this period, treatment may continue when indicated by the doctor). Pityriasis versicolor: approximately 3 weeks. Vulvar and balanic candidiasis: 1 to 2 weeks. Treatment should continue, depending on the indication, for approximately 2 weeks after clinical symptoms have disappeared, to ensure complete healing. The recommended dosage and duration of treatment may be modified at the discretion of the physician.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients. Hypersensitivity to antifungals of the imidazole group.

If in doubt or if symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
