Prevendog Anti-Parasitic Collar it is indicated in infestations by parasites sensitive to deltamethrin.

Prevention of reinfestation by ticks (Ixodes ricinus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus) through an acaricidal effect for 6 months. Prevention of bites by sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) due to a repellent (anti-food) effect for 5 months. Prevention of mosquito bites (Culex pipiens) due to a repellent (anti-food) effect for 6 months.

Active substance (s): Deltamethrin.

Target species (s): Canines (0 - 25 kg); for small to medium-sized dogs.

Deltamethrin is a molecule in the family of synthetic pyrethroids that is characterized by its acaricidal and insecticidal activity. By acting by modifying the permeability of sodium channels, the molecule causes hyperexcitation followed by paralysis (shock effect), tremors and death of the parasite. Deltamethrin has a repellent effect against phlebotomes, which are the vectors of Leishmania infantum (protozoan, leishmaniasis transmission agent).

Posology and route of administration:

One collar for each dog. The 60 cm long collar is intended for use on small to medium-sized dogs. Adjustable to the neck up to 48 cm. Remove the collar from the packaging and detach the protective strip. Adjust the collar around the animal's neck without overtightening. You should leave a two-finger gap between the collar and the dog's neck. Slide the end of the collar through the buckle and cut the excess over 5 cm in length. This collar has a safety locking mechanism (anti-squinting security system). In the unlikely event that the dog is trapped, the strength of the animal itself will be sufficient to widen the collar to release it quickly.
