Fipon Spot-On is indicated for the treatment of flea (Ctenocephalides spp.) pruritus (Trichodectes canis) in dogs. The prophylactic activity, in dogs, against flea re-infestations is maintained for a period of 2 months. The veterinary medicinal product also protects dogs against tick re-infestations for a period of 1 month. The veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for Flea Allergic Dermatitis (FAD), when this has been previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.

Active substance: Fipronil.

Target species(s): Dogs.

Posology and route of administration:

Exclusively for topical application to the skin. One 1 ml tube (S) containing 75 mg of fipronil in dogs up to 10 kg body weight. A 2 ml tube (M) containing 150 mg of fipronil in dogs with a body weight of 10-20 kg. A 4 ml (L) tube containing 300 mg of fipronil in dogs with a body weight of 20-40 kg. One 5.5 ml tube (XL) containing 412.5 mg of fipronil in dogs with a body weight of 40-55 kg. Two tubes of 4ml capacity (L) in dogs weighing more than 55 kg. Open the tube by removing the top part. Part the fur in the shoulder area (forequarter of the animal), place the tip of the pipette directly on the skin and completely drain its contents. It is important to make sure that the veterinary medicinal product is applied in an area where the animal cannot lick it off, and to ensure that animals do not lick each other after treatment. For best results, the minimum application interval is 4 weeks. Do not administer to puppies younger than 8 weeks of age or weighing less than 2 kg.
