Accutrend Triglycerides Test Strips 25 units

Accutrend Triglyceride Test Strips are for use with the Accutrend Plus equipment.

Characteristics:

• Triglycerides are one of the cardiovascular risk factors along with cholesterol and glucose. Triglyceride determinations are used for the early detection of a risk of atherosclerosis and for the classification of hyperlipoproteinemia, as well as for the control of dietary and drug antilipidemic therapy.
• The test strips contain: a yellow protective net, impregnated with a surfactant (field of application), a fiberglass coating that acts as a separation layer for the blood cells, a reaction film, in which the color is formed and a bar code on the back that is read by the measuring device to confirm the identity of the test strip, i.e., whether the lot number of the test strip matches the code in memory.
• The system automatically performs a check before applying blood and before each measurement, by reading the barcode on the test strip and comparing the data in memory with the data on the strip code.
• Each box contains 25 test strips for self-monitoring.

Usage advice:

The sample is deposited on the test strip, entering the reading chamber of the device. After approximately three minutes the result is obtained, without the need to prepare reagents, handle the sample or make any calculations. Store at 2-8°C until the indicated expiration date. Do not freeze. Avoid storage in extreme temperatures. If Accutrend Triglycerides strips are stored at room temperature, their stability is reduced to 3 months, but not beyond the expiration date indicated on the label. In this case, you should record on the packaging the date you removed the packaging from the refrigerator and count 3 months – at the end of this period, any unused strips should be discarded. You should not put the strips back in the refrigerator, as this will not extend their stability.

Note: The expiration date of the strips is always less than 10 months, and it is not possible to purchase strips with an expiration date after that.
