

Non-prescription drug indicated for the treatment of non-productive cough.
Tussoral 1.33mg/ml Syrup is indicated for the treatment of non-productive cough.
Active substance: 1.33mg/ml dextromethorphan hydrobromide.
Dextromethorphan is a non-narcotic drug with central antitussive action used for the symptomatic treatment of cough caused by minor irritations of the larynx, trachea and bronchi.
Dosage and method of administration:
Tussoral is indicated for adults and adolescents aged 15 years and over. Adults and adolescents aged 15 years and over: The usual dosage is one measured glass per dose (equivalent to 15 mg dextromethorphan hydrobromide). If necessary, repeat 4 hours later. The maximum daily dose of dextromethorphan hydrobromide is 120 mg (equivalent to 8 measuring cups). The treatment period should not exceed 5 days. Treatment should be limited to the period of occurrence of the cough without ever exceeding the recommended doses.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Respiratory failure. bronchial asthma. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Pneumonia. Respiratory depression. Do not administer to children under 6 years of age. Simultaneous treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) or other CYP2D6 inhibitors, or alcohol. During breastfeeding. During the first three months of pregnancy.
