Tosseque 0.8mg/ml Syrup 200ml

Toseque 0.8mg/ml Syrup is indicated as a mucolytic adjunct to the antibacterial treatment of respiratory infections in the presence of bronchial hypersecretion.

Active substance: 0.8 mg of bromhexine hydrochloride.

Bromhexine works by increasing the amount of secretions while reducing their viscosity.

Dosage and method of administration:

The recommended dosage is as follows: Adults and children over 12 years: 10 ml, 3 times a day. Children from 6 to 12 years: 5 ml, 3 times a day. Children from 6 to 2 years: 2.5 ml, 3 times a day. Children under 2 years: 1.25 ml, 3 times a day. To facilitate the administration of the syrup, the package contains a measuring spoon with markings compatible with the dosage indicated above. 1 full measuring spoon = 5 ml. To make up the 10 ml dose, 2 full measuring spoons should be taken. Cough should only be given to children under 2 years of age under medical supervision. Tosseque should only be taken while symptoms persist, not exceeding seven consecutive days of therapy, unless expressly indicated by the attending physician.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Patients with gastroduodenal ulcer.
