Levotuss 6mg/ml Syrup 200ml

Levotuss 6mg/ml Syrup is indicated for symptomatic cough therapy.

Active substances: levodropropizine.

Levodropropizine is an antitussive with peripheral activity at the tracheobronchial level, associated with anti-allergic and anti-bronchospasm activity. In addition, it has a local anesthetic activity in animals.

Dosage and method of administration:

The treatment can be prolonged until the cough disappears, however, it should not exceed 14 days of treatment. If symptoms persist after 2 weeks of treatment, discontinuation of treatment is advised. In fact, cough is a symptom and the underlying disease must be diagnosed and treated. Adults: 10 ml of syrup three times a day, at intervals of no less than 6 hours. Children: Between 10-20 kg, 3 ml of syrup three times a day. Between 20-30 kg, 5 ml of syrup three times a day. Use the measuring cup on the lid. Adults: 1ml of drops (corresponding to 20 drops) up to 3 times a day, with intervals of no less than 6 hours. Children: 1 drop (3mg) per kg/day, divided into 3 doses over 24 hours, with intervals of no less than 6 hours. . The drops should preferably be diluted in half a glass of water.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients. Administration of this medicinal product should be avoided in patients with bronchorrhea and reduced mucociliary function (Kartagener syndrome, ciliary dyskinesia). Pregnancy and lactation.
