Nurofen oral suspension has been specially formulated for babies and children over 3 months of age. It is administered orally for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and/or fever.

Active substance: Ibuprofen 20mg/ml.

Dosage and method of administration:

Always take this medicine exactly as described in the leaflet, or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Nurofen oral suspension should not be given to children under 3 months of age. Shake the bottle well Remove the bottle cap by pulling it down and turning it counterclockwise. Push the syringe firmly into the seal (hole) at the opening of the vial. To fill the syringe, invert the vial. While holding the syringe, slowly pull the plunger down drawing the necessary suspension to reach the desired measurement in the syringe. Return the vial to the starting position and remove the syringe from the cap by turning it slowly. Place the end of the syringe into the child's mouth. Slowly push the plunger down to gradually release the suspension. Replace the cap after use. Wash the syringe in warm water and let it dry. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Shake the bottle well. Use the end of the spoon that corresponds to the dose required. Pour the suspension into the spoon. Place the spoon in the child's mouth and administer the dose. Replace the cap after use. Wash the spoon in warm water and let it dry. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Frequency of administration: Doses should be administered approximately every 6 or 8 hours (or at least 4 hours apart if necessary). Duration of treatment: Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years of age who intend to take this medicine: This medicine is intended for short-term treatment only. You should take the lowest dose for the shortest time needed to relieve your symptoms. If symptoms persist or worsen, see your doctor.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

In accordance with current legislation, non-prescription medicines in Portugal can only be delivered to the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
