Aspirin Xpress 500mg is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of fever and/or mild to moderate pain.

Active substances: 500mg of acetylsalicylic acid.

As a salicylate, acetylsalicylic acid belongs to the group of non-steroidal analgesics/anti-inflammatory drugs. As an ester of salicylic acid, acetylsalicylic acid is a substance endowed with analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory properties. Its mechanism of action is based on the irreversible inhibition of cyclooxygenase enzymes involved in the synthesis of prostaglandins.

Dosage and method of administration:

Adults: 1 to 2 tablets with each administration, repeating as needed after a minimum of 4 hours. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 6 tablets. Elderly Patients (over 65 years of age): 1 tablet with each administration. Repeat each dose as needed after a minimum of 4 hours. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 4 tablets. Adolescents 12 years and older (40kg-50kg): 1 tablet in each dose, repeating as needed after a minimum of 4 hours. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 6 tablets. Acetylsalicylic acid should not be taken for more than 3 days (for fever), for more than 3-4 days (for pain) unless directed to do so by your doctor.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid or other salicylates, or to any of the excipients. History of asthma or hypersensitivity reactions induced by the administration of salicylates or substances with a similar action, particularly non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), acute gastrointestinal ulcers, bleeding diathesis, severe renal failure, severe liver failure and/or severe non-steroidal heart failure. controlled.
