Aspirin 400/240mg 10 effervescent tablets

Aspirina C 400/240mg is indicated for mild to moderate pain, such as headaches, toothache, muscle pain, primary dysmenorrhea and feverish states (lasting less than three days) associated with colds or flu.

Active substances: 400 mg of acetylsalicylic acid and 240 mg of ascorbic acid.

As a salicylate, acetylsalicylic acid belongs to the group of non-steroidal analgesics/anti-inflammatory drugs. As an ester of salicylic acid, acetylsalicylic acid is a substance with analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory properties. Its mechanism of action is based on the irreversible inhibition of cyclooxygenase enzymes, involved in the synthesis of prostaglandins. Ascorbic acid, a water-soluble vitamin, is part of the body's protective system against oxygen radicals and other oxidizing agents of endogenous or exogenous origin. It also plays an important role in the inflammatory process and in the function of leukocytes.

Dosage and method of administration:

Aspirina C (acetylsalicylic acid + ascorbic acid) should not be taken for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor. Adults: 1 - 2 effervescent tablets in each administration. The maximum daily dosage should not exceed 8 effervescent tablets (4g/day), observing an interval of 4 - 8 hours between administrations. Children from 12 years of age: 400 mg of acetylsalicylic acid as a single dose, which corresponds to 1 effervescent tablet in each administration. If necessary, the administration can be repeated up to 3 times a day, observing an interval of 4 - 8 hours between administrations. It should not be administered to children under 12 years of age. According to current legislation, non-prescription medicines in Portugal can only be delivered to the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to deliveries to other Member States of the European Union.
