Teva Stodorfenis indicated for mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, muscle pain, bruises and post-traumatic pain. It is also indicated in menstrual pain (primary dysmenorrhea) and in the treatment of fever lasting less than 3 days.

Active Substances: 200mg ibuprofen.

Ibuprofen has significant anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic properties. These actions are fundamentally related to the ability of this substance to inhibit cyclooxygenase and consequently prostaglandins, important mediators of inflammation and fever. Ibuprofen also appears to have an inhibitory effect on platelet aggregation.

Dosage and method of administration:

The usual dose for adults and children over 12 years of age should be 200 mg every 8 hours (or 3 times a day) and, if necessary, 2 tablets in each dose. Do not exceed 6 tablets per day divided into 3 to 4 doses. This medicine should not be used for self-medication of pain for more than 7 days in adults or more than 3 days in children. For children 12-15 years of age, the maximum daily dose is 600 mg of ibuprofen. For children over 15 years of age, the maximum daily dose is 1200 mg of ibuprofen. Administration to children under 12 years of age must be prescribed by a doctor and other formulations more suitable for administration to children should be sought.
