Biafine is an oil-in-water emulsion composed of trolamine and formulated for the treatment of non-infected superficial skin wounds, first degree burns and solar erythema.

Features:

  • When properly applied to a wound, it provides an optimal moist environment for the healing process.
  • Store at room temperature (

Directions for use:

Solar Erythema: Apply in a thick layer, every ten minutes, until the skin refuses. The last bed applied must be penetrated by applying a light massage. Repeat the application 2 to 4 times until the affected area is completely healed.

1st degree burns: Apply in a thick layer until the skin refuses, making the unabsorbed layer penetrate by light massage. Repeat the application 2 to 4 times until the affected area is completely healed.

Uninfected superficial cutaneous wounds: After cleaning the lesion, apply it in a thick layer, going far beyond the surface of the lesion and renew the applications in order to always keep an excess of the emulsion on the lesion. If necessary, cover with a moistened compress and finish the dressing. Do not use a dry absorbent pad. Reapply as described above every 24 to 48 hours until the wound or wound heals completely. It can be removed by washing with a saline solution or clean water without causing damage to newly formed fabrics.
